Troop 94 Meetings

All Troop 94 meetings are held at The New Dining Hall (left of the main parking lot) in Schiff Scout Camp at 7:30 PM to 9 PM on Tuesdays.  Until further notice, we will meet at Hayden Dining Hall ( bear to the right when at Camp Schiff ).

           Howe Caverns

Troop 94 will be going to Howe Caverns on May 20-22nd to explore the cave 156 feet underground.  For our younger scouts under 12 and if you are claustrophobic we have an alternative underground adventure called the Traditional Tour which features well lighted level walkways with a boat ride on an underground river for a 1 ½ hour adventure.  The cost of the Traditional Tour for ages 11-15 will cost $21, and 16 and over will cost $25 (on top of the camping fee to be determined).  For our older scouts, the first 21 scouts (12 and older) who bring in their $100 deposit (indicate your shoe size for boots) will be able to take the High Adventure Tour.  We will be exploring a section of Howe Caverns that has been closed for 125 years.  This High Adventure Tour can only accomadate three groups of 8 people (7 scouts, 1 trained guide, 1 adult) on Saturday.  If there is sufficent interest we may request an additional High Adventure Tour on Sunday morning to accomadate another 7 scouts.  The high adventure tour will last 2 hours underground with a trained guide, hard hats, lights, coveralls, and boots provided.  There will be an additional camping fee to be determined which includes transportation, food, and campsite fee.

            Onteora Scout

Troop 94 will be attending summer camp at Onteora Scout Reservation located in Livingston Manor, New York, during Week 5 August 7-13.  The camp has 1,400-acres, Orchard Lake, is a great place to swim, kayak, or fish for trout. According to the 2016 summer camp guide there will be 85 merit badges offered at camp with many extra activities such as supervised ATV and paintball.  Total cost for one week of summer camp is $400 if we get our deposit in as soon as possible.
